Product Details:

SS Bright Bar is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the authentic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.

There are two types of bright bars: Peeled and Cold Drawn 2. Turned. The Hot Rolled bars in a Cold Drawn Bright Bar are pickled and drawn through a Tungsten Carbide Die as Cold Rolled without being heated, hence the name. Second, in the Peeled and Turned Bright Bar process, the Hot Rolled Bar is fed into a turning machine, where the surface is turned or removed until it reaches the desired diameter. Additionally, there is no need for heating in this cold process. For specific applications, Bright Bars can be further ground finished.
