SS Bright Bar is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the authentic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.

Polishing is the process of finishing a Stainless Steel Polish Hollow Square Bar to make it smoother and brighter. Mirror finishes are not the result of polishing, contrary to popular belief. To achieve a mirror-like polish on stainless steel bars, most manufacturers will suggest buffing and brightening. There are numerous advantages to using a polished component, not the least of which is that it improves the product's appearance. Polishing, for instance, keeps products from getting dirty. It also creates a reflective surface for the ASTM A276 Stainless Steel Polish Bar and helps remove oxidation.
