ASTM A268 SS 409 ERW Pipes in thickness ranging from 0.5mm to 150mm Thick. SS UNS S40900 ERW Pipes are made with a chemical composition of 11% of chromium with Titanium and low carbon quantities. The minimal carbon content in the Stainless Steel 409 ERW Pipes help them to prevent the austenite formation. The titanium helps the ERW pipes to have better stability and prevent the hardening of the pipes during the welding process.
The toughness and strength of the ASTM A268 SS 409 ERW Pipes can be increased through an annealing process. The processes like Thermochemical processing results in improved forming and ridging properties of the SS UNS S40900 ERW Pipes. Occasional red rust might occur over the surface of ASTM A268 SS 409 ERW Pipes which might lead to cosmetic corrosion.
